Take 5 with "The World of Film Festivals"

As we gear up for the Oxford Film Festival 2011 to be held at the Malco Studio Theater on Feb. 10-13, 2011, we thought we might introduce you to some of the people behind the movies we can't wait to show you.

Meet Take 5 filmmaker, Jim Jacobs with "The World of Film Festivals."
For the full schedule and description of the films, visit
www.oxfordfilmfest.com.

Q. 1: In 140 characters or less, describe your movie and why someone should see it.

A: A bit of information about film festivals. If you see it, you might be amused.

Q. 2: Biggest lesson learned in getting the film made? Best part in getting the film made?

A: The biggest lesson was just to keep working on projects. The best part in getting it made was working with other people and getting to practice my craft.

Q. 3: Tell us about you. What is your movie making background?

A: I majored in filmmaking and film studies in college. I've been making shorts on video since 1995.

Q. 4: What's your dream distribution plan for the film?

A: Perhaps to have it shown on some big cable station or website.

Q. 5: What does the future hold in store for your film and for you?

A:
This film is more than a year old, and I'm still sending it to some fests. I hope to make two shorts: one similar to this film (How to Simplify and Organize) and one with more narrative (After Tennis). At some point, I'd also like to try a narrative feature.
